Welcome!

This is my first post of my under construction CCIE blog. Speaking to Arden convinced me to start so here I go.

I am studying for my CCIE (Routing and Switching) at the moment. The materials I am using are:

InternetworkExpert Workbooks and Class on Demand. The CoDs are FANTASTIC and are a requirement if you wish to pursue your CCIE.
Narbik’s Soup-to-Nuts book
Micronics bootcamp - May 2008 in Sydney
Dynamips PC - 4 GB RAM, Ubuntu 7.10, GNS3

    Hi Mat,

What a wonderful idea, you are absolutely inspirational.

Can you give me some CCNA study tips please?

Hey, Matt - I added this site to my blogroll today, and mentioned it in a post as well. I hope you get some traffic and good luck on your journey!

    Hi Sally Anne,

Welcome to my page and being the first to post here :) CCNA is obviously the first place to start in the world of Cisco. Best thing you can do for CCNA is remember the OSI model and what happens in each layer, because everything comes from there.

    Remember:
Australia Post Sucks They Never Deliver Packages…

If you can remember what every layer does, what protocol resides in each layer and how to diagnose problems in each layer (ie physical layer vs mac/ethernet problems vs routing vs http for example) then you are well on your way too CCNA.

Let us all know how you go!

    Cheers,
    Matt
